Hello everyone,

I recently installed Ubuntu 16.04 on my Jackal robot with Sick LiDAR on in it. I have two SSD one with Ubuntu 14 and nother with ubuntu 16. I have two problem that might be related together in ubuntu 16. 1- When I set the wifi via "wicd-curses" and set it to connect automatically to wifi, after I reboot the jackal, the wifi is not connect automatically and I need to go to "wicd-curses" again and connect it. During the boot time also I get this message: "Failed to start LSB: IPV4 DHCP client with IPv4LL support. see systemctl status dhcpcd. service for details"

2- The second problem is that when I reboot the jackal, the LiDAR is working fine but when I connect it to the wifi, the LIDAR dose not have any output anymore. Any help would be appreciated

Note: This is the output for br0 when I'm not connect and when I connect to the wifi:

administrator@PNW-ECE:/etc$ ifconfig

before connecting to wifi or in ubuntu 14:

br0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0b:ab:d3:c7:5f
          inet addr:192.168.1.11 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
          inet6 addr: fe80::20b:abff:fed3:c75f/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:159652 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:127897 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
          RX bytes:320321362 (320.3 MB) TX bytes:6938525 (6.9 MB)

connecting to wifi.

br0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0b:ab:d3:c7:5f
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:5370 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:3880 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:9288341 (9.2 MB) TX bytes:210553 (210.5 KB)

when I don't connect to Wifi and go to "wicd-curses" The IP address shows under the page is 192.168.1.11. which is same as the br0 IP address in this time the LiDDAR working fine. The LiDAR address is 192.168.1.14.

Seeing as you are describing problems with a Jackal, I would suggest you contact Clearpath support.

If you do, and they end up helping you fix your problems, please post back here.
