I am a Junior Researcher in the Language Technology Lab at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). My research interests are in the field of Semantic Mapping, Autonomous Robotics and Human-Robot Interaction. I am currently involved in the EU FP7 project NIFTi (www.nifti.eu), where I am interested in the semantic understanding of disaster environments such as car crashes, train wrecks, collapsed buildings etc. The unknown nature and uncertainity in these environments poses a challenge for human-robot exploration in them. The study of managing of human expectations in human-robot collaborative exploration becomes an interesting field to study in such an environment.
