I have a PyCharm Professional installed using ubuntu snap package. I'd like to set it up to use with ROS but the instructions call for modifying a launch file that I think doesn't exist with snap packages.

What are the current problems? I recall it currently working out of the box if you install the ROS support package and open the workspace + select the 2.7 interpreter.

It does work, I was just wondering why the original instructions call for running changing bash -i -c to the launcher file. Maybe it does something that running pycharm from a sourced workspace doesn't.

I believe it is just out of date. I previously used the old .desktop based version as well as the newer and didn't notice any difference.
