RPLIDAR A1M8 ...before I order

Have you found a driver? If so, please link. And if so, what’s the reason you suspect it wouldn’t work on either platform?

there is an SDK but for windows (and outdated), I found a video talking about this device working on ROS, but there was no link, I had to dig it up, + I live in europe, so I had to go to the belgium web site and find it

it should be it, but you never know, there are many clones of RPLIDAR A1

Please do the minimum amount of googling. Just searching "rplidar ROS driver" comes up with a wealth of information.

the video show I only have to install some ROS packages, it does not say anything about drivers also my issue is more about to be sure this is the same model, I'll give it a try..I got the feeling to dont understand my question, as I say there are MANY clones of that device

ok apparently it says it's a SLAMTEC a1m8 and that package seems to address the device I'll have a try http://wiki.ros.org/rplidar
