I am trying to install rqt-plot (I am running ROS Kinetic on Ubuntu 16.04).

When running sudo apt-get install ros-kinetic-rqt-plot I get the following error:

Err:1 xenial/main amd64 ros-kinetic-qt-gui-py-common amd64 0.3.11-0xenial-20180830-074357-0800 404 Not Found [IP: 80]

E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?

I can ping and , so it doesn't seem to be a connectivity issue...

Any ideas on what's going on and how to fix it and proceed with the installation?

SOLUTION: as commented by @gvdhoorn the key has to be updated as described in #q325039.

Then run sudo apt update :

This could be caused by the issue described in #q325039. Could you check?

If you already have the correct key, can you verify that sudo apt update completes successfully? It might help if you post the output of that command here (not in a comment, append it to your original question text, use the edit button/link for that).
