I have a slow computer, and gtk-cairo with ROS does not work as I would like. [closed]

The problem is related with my machine is too slow for the program I building.

I am trying to make an animation with cairo, but it does not work as an animation, but as a static image.

What I would like is some help in turning around my animation and built it with something diferent.

Can you give-me a tip.

I am using gtk-Cairo 2.0 in c, and indigo, ubuntu 14 LTS.

The data I use for the animation cames from ROS, that is the only relation.
