What is a cheap lidar sensor for indoor use with good ROS support?
For example range < 40m, price < $300.00?

Do you need 40m for an indoor application?
Is there a sensor range you want to target around? Its easier to get good recommendations when there are some requirements involved.
Actually, range < 12m is more reasonable, I was thinking of purchasing the YDLIDAR X4 (sample video).
It's A bit over your price change, but I really like my rplidar. It has a high scan rate and a good degree of accuracy.
