Hi,

I am trying to use the point grey camera with ROS on the jackal.

I am connecting to the jackal using a wireless router connected to my MAC laptop. I am running ubuntu on a VM. I give a static IP address to the jackal and ssh into the system.

The jackal is not able to connect to the internet and when I try to install the point grey camera on the jackal, it tries to get its dependencies through apt-get. The system complains about libgtkmm dependencies not being found while installing flycapture for point grey camera. This does not work because it cannot get to the mirrors.

Is there a way to get the complete flycapture software to install on the jackal without having to get to the internet? Alternatively, is there a way to get the jackal connect to the internet?

Please advise.

Regards, rsmitha.

I downloaded a tgz file from Flir site, and did "sneaker net" to transfer via USB memory stick. Just unzip the file, and install the provided deb files.
