2015-04-08 04:22:01 -0500 asked a question looking for the most lightweight and compact board for rviz

Hi everyone,

We are working in a project that consist in moving a robotic arm in a factory facilities.

We are thinking of building a remote controller for the robot. We want to use ROS and rviz on this one. In this way the user would have an extra information by means of rviz about the environment.

So we need a compact and lightweight hardware.

Our ROS distro would be indigo.

Any suggestion would be welcome.

Best regards.

Hi

Has Anyone tested rviz in NVIDIA Jetson Board?

We are looking the most lightweight and compact hardware that allows run rviz in a properly way.

We have focused in this hardware, which has a NVIDIA GPU, because I have read threads here that it suggests the use of NVIDIA GPU to avoid problems with rviz.

Best regard.
