| 2014-02-07 09:29:18 -0500 | asked a question | SW-URDF exporter applies Fixed constraint, fails I've been unable to export my Solidworks assembly to URDF. Part of the problem seems to be that the add-in applies a Fixed constraint to one of the parts in the assembly. Obviously this makes the assembly overconstrained. The export quits before finishing; I don't know if it's because of the Fixed constraint or what. Why is this Fixed constraint being added, and how can I prevent it? Is something else going on that I'm not aware of? |
| 2014-02-06 07:59:06 -0500 | answered a question | SolidWorks->urdf exporter strange behavior when click "Preview and Export..." Stephen, I'm having a similar problem with my own assembly. The exporter establishes a few origins and axes, and then just quits working. I've noticed that at the same time it fixes parts in Solidworks that weren't fixed before, which naturally produces mate errors. I've tried paring back my assembly, suppressing parts, and if I go back far enough the export works. Any idea what I can try next? |
