Openni depth image to a bag file with jpeg compression ? [closed]
When I save the compressed depth image to a bag file with standard compression (jpeg), much data is lost, because a depth image has 16bit and jpeg only supports 8bit.
Is this correct?
If yes, why does ROS not distinguish between compression of depth and other image formats?
Because a not lossless compressed depth image is useless afterwards...
