In 2022 what's the best option for task planner or scheduler?

Hey guys, My name is Eliomar. I am currently figuring out how to implement a task planner or scheduler. I have found some information on the web about task schedulers, like this link https://hal.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-.... Or like ROSPlan implementation. But there is not seem to be much information about task planners or schedulers in the website.

I know that SMACH is more or less the standard for this, as far as I know from web information that I have read. But almost all the articles or blogs are too old, before 2015. and I wanted to know if there is a ne way to do it or some other alternative in 2022.

Maybe I am not looking in a good way for the information? or it is a topic that does not have much research or pre-made packages? I would appreciate any help, maybe just pointing me in the right direction with links or documents.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Both the resources and updates on the Git to SMACH are fairly outdated as you've said, but to my knowledge it's still widely used. I think it's a case of "if it isn't broken, don't fix it": SMACH does the job and keeps doing it. From my experience, research groups that need functionality beyond that have their own internal tools (or, in the case of ROSPlan, sometimes share them).

oh ok ok. Thanks cst0, so if you say that Smach is still used then I think I will go with SMACH then. I was worried that I will be working with an outdated tool. Thanks very much for your answer.
