ROS2 dashing & eloquent in one network? [closed]

Is it possible to have 1 PC with ROS2 dashing and one PC with ROS2 eloquent working together via ROS2?

I regularly combine different ROS2 distributions (Dashing, Eloquent, and Foxy), and it works fine. However, this is not guaranteed, and your application may not work.

As already stated, this appears to be a duplicate of #q341372.

Not really a duplicate, because I was hoping for experience with these two specific distros. Nevertheless the answer helps. Special thanks to lukicdarkoo, that was an answer I was hoping for (y). Guess I will have to setup a system and try, that might be the only way to be sure.

The answer by @Dirk Thomas in #q341372 discusses Eloquent and Dashing specifically.

I would be a little less optimistic more cautious actually. The answer is a maybe, it depends.
