I regularly combine different ROS2 distributions (Dashing, Eloquent, and Foxy), and it works fine. However, this is not guaranteed, and your application may not work.
As already stated, this appears to be a duplicate of #q341372.
If it isn't, please clarify.
Not really a duplicate, because I was hoping for experience with these two specific distros. Nevertheless the answer helps. Special thanks to lukicdarkoo, that was an answer I was hoping for (y). Guess I will have to setup a system and try, that might be the only way to be sure.
So: Solved.
The answer by @Dirk Thomas in #q341372 discusses Eloquent and Dashing specifically.
I would be a little
less optimisticmore cautious actually. The answer is a maybe, it depends.
