Dear All,

I'm trying to install the MIT ROS package on my Ubuntu 12.04 with Fuerte installation. After downloading the /trunk/ folder on the MIT site and putting it in my /opt/ros/fuerte/stacks/ folder I try to run rosmake in the /kinect_utils/ folder. This is where it goes wrong. It builds with 35 packages and 6 failures.

I have got absolutely no idea what I am doing wrong. The log file of the rosmake is pretty large, so I've put it on Pastebin (http://pastebin.com/QXhhzsBz).

Is there anyone with a similar problem or anyone who knows what I should do Thanks in advance!

I doubt this package is being actively maintained.

So, you think either I should look for another package or use an older version of ROS? And, do you perhaps know of any other package that provides kinect finger tracking aswell?

I have the same problem. After a long search I have come to know that, currently its not possible to run these demo's on Fuerte. The reason is that it could run on ROS-diamondback. Now today I will try to check this out how it could be run on Fuerte. Might be I am wrong. If I am wrong anyone can correct me.

Regards, Atif
