Error launching indoor SLAM demo

I have received the following error while compiling roslaunch hector_quadrotor_demo indoor_slam_gazebo.launch:

[ERROR] [1478418377.791148386]: Skipping XML Document "/opt/ros/jade/share/hector_worldmodel_geotiff_plugins/hector_geotiff_plugins.xml" which had no Root Element.  This likely means the XML is malformed or missing.

also the compiling is not completing( and had to be terminated manually)

I'm slightly confused: launch files are typically not 'compiled'. Can you please tell us exactly what you did to install the hector_* packages? Also: which OS is this, which version, how did you install ROS, which version of ROS, etc.

And could you please use the Preformatted Text button next time to format error messages (it's the one with 101010 on it)? If you don't, the (HTML) filter on this Askbot site will make your error message not appear, and we don't understand what you are referring to.

Ubuntu 14.04, ros-jade. I have followed the standard procedures mentioned at . By the last line, i meant to say that gazebo is terminating after running the roslaunch

I am also having the same trouble, running ROS Kinetic on Ubuntu 16.04. When I'm trying to run hector indoor I'm also getting the same error. [ERROR] [1553237925.853215938]: Skipped loading plugin with error: XML Document '/opt/ros/kinetic/share/hector_worldmodel_geotiff_plugins/hector_geotiff_plugins.xml' has no Root Element. This likely means the XML is malformed or missing..

Also in RVIZ, I'am getting RobotModel and Map error.
