My end goal is to be able to view a bag to pcd converted file in Autodesk. For this I am using bag to pcd feature of the PCL ROS library. I am viewing Mapping data in rviz using 1000 seconds of decay time and the Map looks great (Using LOAM Mapping library). Is it possible to record the bag file with a long decay time? This way my PCD file can be viewed on Autodesk and the data will look like a map instead of low density point cloud data.

decay time is a function of rviz, not rosbag. rosbag just records messages as it receives them. I don't know much about the rosbag to PCD conversion or PCD viewing in autodesk, but it seems like you should be able to produce the data you're looking for at some point.

That kinda makes sense. What you're saying is that rosbag gets all the points and if I did make it to display all the points over a period of time, it should display my map.
