libfreenect demos and freenect_launch

I have managed to install the kinetic version of libfreenect on raspberry pi 3 with ubuntu 16.04.

Running freenect-glview opened a window and I could see myself, so the above configuration talks to the kinect.

I have a few questions: 1. Are there any other demo apps that use other features of the kinect? 2. I cant seem to install freenect_launch, looking at the status log, the main line is red (im guessing this is ubuntu rther than debian). Do I need to build this from source? or is it planned to be provided for kinetic?
