Hi Ros users: Currently I am using ubuntu 14.04, Ros Indigo and Gazebo 2.2 . I am thinking about upgrading Ros and Gazebo. I have two questions:

·will there be any problem with my pkg's that I have created if I upgrade Ros and Gazebo? ·What is the best release of Ros I can upgrade?

Thanks a lot!!

We would have to know all about your packages and dependencies to answer that. I wouldn't recommend updating in the middle of a project unless you knew the packages you're depending on are fairly stable (not to mention make sure they're even available for the next release).

Also, Indigo Igloo is the current stable release and it has long term support. You could get Jade, but it is short term support. I'd recommend only getting Jade if you knew there was something there you need that Igloo doesn't have.
