object pushing

Hello all,

I am trying to develop a functionality for pushing an object with my robot. I have been looking for some existing implementation in ROS and found the object_manipulation stack. Also, I guess for indigo the functionality has been moved to moveit!

However, I am not very sure from where should I start or are there some existing packages doing the same?

Any suggestion would be appreciated.
