mecanum wheels integration with ROS [closed]

Is it same as omni-wheels or different..? Can I use the current navigation stack that comes with ROS for mecanum wheels in my custom robot..?? if the omni and mecanum are incompatible what are the other alternatives available..?? THank You.. :) :)
