The image viewer does not display my mono16 images, yet if I publish them I can view them using image_viewer (fuerte)

These images were not published alongside a camera_info topic

Can you add more information about exactly what you're running when image_viewer works for you, and how you're getting the error messages?

@Tom Larkworthy Consider using rqt_bag; rx_bag is taken over by rqt _bag and no longer actively maintained. Similarly, use rqt_image_view.
