Compile a workspace from USB
Hello, I would like knowing if it possible to compile a workspace in ros kinetic in a usb pendrive, to get a portable workspace and just do a catking make and ROS add this workspace and package in its system.
I am not sure if I understood the last part of the question where you say "just do a catking make and ROS add this workspace and package in its system." But have a look at this question, might help. Ignore the question just read the answer.
You can copy & paste it to the new catkin workspace every time - what do you have against this approach? :) You will probably have to build the packages on the new computer anyway.
