Looking for example student competition tasks for beginners
I am designing a student competition based on ROS2 and Turtlebot3 Waffle with Openmanipulator. The competition is part of a five day crash course to ROS in presence. I would like to give one day introduction to ROS and small groups of two or three students will compete each other.
Do you have ideas for tasks of incremental difficulty for beginners or links to similar competitions?
Here are some links of my own research:
- Turtlebot3 Burger Autorace – based on ROS1
- A competition based on Turtlebot2 as part of CMPUT 412 course in University of Alberta – tasks: following track, detecting contours and colors, box pushing. Complete report of a student group
- Ruhr Turtlebot competition 2021 based on Turtlebot3 Burger (german) - tasks: detecting obstacles and navigation, adding extra sensors. Github repo
- Turtlebot3 Waffle with Openmanipulator Home Challenge – based on ROS1
Note that this is a repost of my question @Reddit where I didn't get helpful response.
