gtsam cpi estimator dies instantly

Greetings, machine specs: ubuntu 18.04, ros melodic. GTSAM 4 .... GTSAM cpi is great for developement and research but m trying to run the examples provided in the github repo with no use. https://github.com/rpng/cpi the required process cpi_compare has died error states. process has died [pid xxxx, exit code -11, cmd ~/../catkin_ws/devel/lib/cpi_compare/estimator __name:=cpi_compare __log:=.....xxx.log] Initiating shutdown!

anybody is working on this?? thanks
