Can I use ros melodic with gazebo8?

Hello! I am trying to run the demo of unitreerobotics, however, it says that it requires ros melodic along with gazebo8. I am confused because ros melodic needs ubuntu18.04, but gazebo8 does not support ubuntu18.04, so what should I do?
