Unable to install choco

asked 2020-11-22 17:08:47 -0500

I was having some trouble with the install procedures put for Windows 10 ( http://wiki.ros.org/Installation/Windows ). I installed VS 2019 fine but when I went to the next step to install git, I got an error- 'choco' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.' I tried to redo the install command for chocolatey but that did not help either. Can someone please help me?

After installing VS 2019, you'll need to install chocolatey using the command line in the "Windows Package Manager" section. This installs the chocolatey package manager which is used for the rest of the deployment.

If you are behind a firewall, you may need to use the Proxy settings: https://chocolatey.org/docs/proxy-set...
