How to recieve x,y,z and distance data from vlp-16 using ROS ? without veloview

i want to get data as given in veloview software. i need cartesian coordinates and intensity and distance in order to do the computation.

Are you running a velodyne driver? What is the type of the topic coming from it? Are you wanting to use python or c++ to do this computation?
