I have a 2D Lidar and imagine that I have mapped the environment and got 2d map. Imagine that the environment is in a factory where many items can be changed in that map.

On the next boot, I am using AMCL and wonder, how can it localize the robot if the items in the factory change quickly and laser inputs might not be able to detect the predicted features?

@gvdhoorn I have found this article https://www.hindawi.com/journals/comp... But still, I can't figure out, how to localize when many items have been changed already

You could have a look at cartographer and cloud mapping for warehouses: https://vimeo.com/293260413
