XML declaration in launch files?

Hi All:

What are the Pros and Cons for putting XML declaration [1] in launch files?

AFAIK, such declaration is helpful as we can use XML specific features for launch files in text editors. Is there any catch of doing so?

I've seen both, and have not encountered any difference except for Syntax highlighting. But I cannot say for sure.

I believe roslaunch will handle or ignore those declarations, so this seems like mostly a style decision. (personally I find the standard XML headers annoying but mostly harmless).
