UR5 end effector models
Hi there!
Does anyone know where I can find collada and possibly urdf models for UR5 end effectors? The existing universal-robot package which is a part of ROS-industrial project does not include any end effectors.
Well, what would you consider "UR5 end effectors"? Afaik UR isn't in the EEF business, so
universal_robotsnot including any would seem ok.Are you referring to these? Those are all EEFs sold by 3rd party vendors. UR just happens to provide them with a 'store like' site.
@gvdhoorn thanks for an answer! Yes, I meant exactly them. Despite the fact they are third party products I will still be glad if I am able to find models for any of them.
The Robotiq grippers may have some models here: ros-industrial/robotiq, but that repository is in a bit of a flux.
For the others: you'll have to search around, and get lucky to see whether someone has done the modelling work for you.
And for future questions: when referring to something (ie: "models for UR5 end effectors"), please include a link or something that would help board members to understand / find what you are referring to. Without that, it's very difficult to help you.
perhaps you can send the mfgs of those EEFs a message, asking them for URDFs or ROS compatibility of their grippers. It would clearly send the signal that 'ROS compatibility' is something their customers are looking for.
