Hokuyo laser installation ubuntu problem

i tried to connect my laser hokuyo with ethernet cable. i have some problem:

I can't install hokuyo_node or laser_drivers package
My pc doesn't detect the laser

Edit: I have Ros indigo e ubuntu 14.04. Now I managed to install ros-indigo-hokuyo-node and ros-indigo-urg-node too, but the problem of detecting my Hokuyo UTM-30LX-EW persists. I followed the installation guide on wikiros but when I insert the ethernet cable i don't find anything.

OS, OS version, ROS version, from source or apt-get installed, which specific steps have you taken, what have you tried yourself, what didn't work, why do you think it didn't work, etc.

I followed the installation guide on wikiros but when I insert the ethernet cable i don't find anything.

I don't find /dev/ttyACM0

/dev/ttyACM0 is only used for USB connections. If you are using ethernet, you will not see a ttyACM0 device.

I don't have one of these devices, but perhaps Hokuyo UTM-30LX-EW not detected in Ubuntu or PC could help.
