Selecting robot hardware
Hi ! I'm planning to build a robot using ROS as software platform.
The robot have to be capable of having : - 18 servomotors - 4-5 DC motors - 2-3 Step by step motors - A lot of captors - Battery ( 12V, probably NiMh )
I have trouble selecting the correct hardware configuration to fit all that in while keeping the electronics rather small. ( We're talking about a wheeled cylindric robot of about 350mm/13in of height and 200mm/8in of diameter )
So if you have any experience in the domain or have built similar systems, I'd be delighted to learn the hardware you've been using or that you would recommend.
