Calculating volume of a pointclouds during run time. [closed]

Hello Everyone, My goal is to calculate the volume of the point clouds created during runtime. An example would be of great help. I was able to create an octomap but I am not sure on how to calculate the volume using a script.

This link does discuss about a similar problem. But there is no solution yet. Thanks for your help.
