Please view the following link for my issue. I cannot get the correct markdown formatting to work here, therefore I created an issue on github. Answering here or on Github is both okay.

If you would have taken a second to read what I said, I said the formatting is completely unusable on this website. Markdown does not work, and code that I show on this website is not readable, therefore I posted it on Github to show it here, not the other way around. Can't find any docs on how to use the markdown on this website.

Askbot does not use markdown, so that's why you can't get it to work.

Indent with 4 spaces to add a code / <pre> block.

Alternatively, paste whatever you want to format as code / verbatim in your post, select the lines, press ctrl+k or the Preformatted Text button (the one with 101010 on it).

from what you describe in your GH issue, it doesn't look like a configuration issue so far, and it's also something which likely requires input from developers/maintainers of core ROS 2 packages.

Those don't frequent ROS Answers, so an issue on ros2/ros2 (which may get transferred to ros2/rclcpp) would seem to have more chance of getting (good) answers.
