This seems too high. TRAJECTORY_BUILDER_2D.num_accumulated_range_data = 1081
Set it to e.g. TRAJECTORY_BUILDER_2D.num_accumulated_range_data = 1
and it worked for me in Gazebo. I believe this is the number of messages you want to accumulate for a full "revolution" of the scanner.
