I'm also in this trouble. This occurs when run the patched user_data2.py and subscribing "/server_name/smach/container_status" topic.

UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0x80 in position 0: ordinal not in range(128)
When I modified the introspection.py, the error does not occur.
