I am searching for information on the architecture, dataflow, scheduling, protocols supported etc. of ROS. I am thus looking for information/data sheet/document containing detailed information on the aspects requested previously. Does any one know where this information can be found or in which collection of documents it can be found? Any advice/information will be greatly appretiated.

Can you be more specific on what you are trying to do, and what you need this information for? To get a general overview, you should start here. This page links to all the relevant documentation.

I am currently doing research on my masters degree and I would like to find this information in order to compare it to other to see which has the potential to suite my application the best. I have read the general documentation and the technical overview but I it does not contain the information I am looking for.
