Hector Slam for obstacle avoidance [closed]

Hi,

I am planning to use the map created using hector slam for my obstacle avoidance module. I need to implement vector field histogram algorithm. Can anyone please help me on how to use the map in my program.I am coding in c++. I am confused on how to store and use the map obtained.
