Hi I am trying to controll some of the drc robot joints. How can I give effort commands to the joint and not placement commands to the PID that is on the joint? Thanks Nachum

hello, you can do this by using pr2_controller_manager
here are two examples of applying joint efforts to a robot
writing a realtime joint controller Adding a PID to a realtime joint controller
for more information check out pr2_mechanism tutorials here

Gazebo ignores URDF velocity and effort limits
gazebo joint effort accumulation
Joint in gazebo operates beyond limits [closed]
Controlling the UR10e via the effort command in the Gazebo environment
Send joint torques directly to a joint in python without using ApplyJointEffort service
apply joint effort service call doesn't do much in gazebo
is it possible to use FPGA for motion planning and is it a good choice ?
