Interface with intel L515 lidar camera and LabVIEW

My project involves using Intel RealSense L515 Lidar camera. They provide an SDK which supports multiple programming languages such aS Matlab but I need it to work on a LabVIEW platform and this is currently unsupported. I have the idea to piggy back off the back of ROS Message Passing service but have no experience whatsoever in this. Could you please give guidance on whether something like this is possible and if so how I could go about it? Thanks
