Ros2 timer's reliable

There is a disadvantage that the ros1's timer is not reliable and the sampling period is not constant. so, ros2 came out to improve this, but is ros2's RTPS, dds system really reliable and has a constant sampling cycle. Also, I would like to know if there are any numerical experimental results related to this. thank you :)
