Rviz symbol lookup error after building "rplidar_ros" package

Hello there, I am encountering an error in starting rviz by 'rosrun rviz rviz' after i have cloned and build the rpildar_ros package. When I run rviz without sourcing the rplidar_ros package path, it open perfectly, but the moment i source the rplidar_ros package path it does not run and throws the following error:

/opt/ros/melodic/lib/rviz/rviz: symbol lookup error: /opt/ros/melodic/lib/libtf.so: undefined symbol: _ZN7tf2_ros17TransformListenerC1ERN3tf210BufferCoreERKN3ros10NodeHandleEb

I am unable to figure out why is it happening. While I am trying to solve it, can someone help me with this? Any help is appreciated.
