Can we install ROS2 (Foxy Fitzroy) alongside ROS1 (Noetic Ninjemys) on Ubuntu 20.04 [closed]

Hi,

Currently, I have ROS 1 (Noetic Ninjemys) installed on Ubuntu 20.04 . I need to install ROS 2 (Foxy Fitzroy) [on same Ubuntu 20.04].

Can we have both ROS 1 (Noetic) and ROS 2 (Foxy Fitrozy) simultaneously on Ubuntu 20.04 ? Are both tolerant to each other's existence or Would it be problematic ?

I have checked older questions related to simultaneous installations of ROS 1 and ROS 2, but none of them dealt with Ubuntu 20.04 and Noetic. (All of them were about Melodic / Kinetic.) So, requesting to help and guide me please.

Afaik nothing has changed. So the old Q&As you found should still all apply / be related / duplicates of yours.

@gvdhoorn : Thanks for the reply. Will go ahead with the installation of ROS 2 alongside already present ROS 1. Closing this question for now.
