How to enable xsens Awinda USB Dongle?

Hello everyone,

I am trying to establish a connection with my Xsens MTw with its Awinda USB Dongle by running:

rosrun xsens_driver mtdevice.py

However I keep getting the message:

MTException: Timeout: waiting for message

My question is, how can I start my Awinda USB Dongle programmatically? Shouldn't the MTw starts to stream data just by piugging the dongle to my computer?

I am on Ubuntu 14.04 running ROS Indigo
