Using lego nxt with ROS jade

Hi, I'm new in this area so I will try to do my best to do a correct question.

I'm trying to use ROS Jade to control my Lego Mindstorm NXT. I'm using linux mint 17.2.

But all the tutorila are for electric or diamondback versions of ROS.

When I search a package with nxt in my repos i found: libnxt and python-nxt but not rosnxt.

I have to change to other release of ROS or there is another way to do that ?
