Wav files - sending from one node to another.

Hi, Is it possible in ROS to divide a wav/ogg file into small frames and then send them from one node (across topic) to another?

I found audio_common_msgs in audio_common package. But honestly i dont have any experience with this domain and tutorials aren't extensive enough.
