If your time service is working, it will not keep increasing forever. On my network, the tools report time-of-day differences of up to tens of microseconds.
For typical ros activities, I would not be concerned unless the difference grows larger than 1e-3. If the difference exceeds that, you need to debug why the time service is not working.
