Ros 2 Humble: Turtlesim teleop key not working

Hello! I am trying to get the ros2 humble turtlesim teleop example to work, but it isn't. No node appears in the node list (I run ros2 node list) and nothing happens. Also, I cannot move the robot with my arrow keys. I have read similar posts on this issue, and I have made sure that the active window is the one with the teleop key command running, but that still hasn't done anything. When I press Q to quit in the teleop terminal, that works, but no arrow key movement is registered. Thanks!
