swerve steer quad motor platform

I have dreamed up a 4 wheeled independently steered hubmotor cart that I am interested in using to go around the neighborhood. Aiming for a speed of around 15 mph and have found uumotor.com who sell hub motors for robot, wheelchair and scooter applications. Planning to use steper motors for the steering and hoping to find slip rings for the wiring. Swerve drive like the nasa prototype is the dream in my head. Does anyone know of any quad steer programs that I could use or look at? Or have advice on where to start? Would like to post a photo but it wont let me until I have more points.
